Omagh is the largest town in County Tyrone with an estimated population of 20,000 and continues to grow with a 23% increase in population since 1981. The town provides an extensive range of retail, commercial, administrative, educational and health services for the large surrounding rural community.

Omagh is built right at the meeting point of the Camowen and Drumragh rivers which gives rise to the river Strule.

Omagh Courthouse Omagh Courthouse
The courthouse stands at the top of the town, looking down into High Street. A special mark on one of the four Doric pillars indicates the position 300 feet above sea level. The Magistrates' Court and Juvenile Courts are all held here, along with the Crown Court with 5 sittings per year.
